Can I register during the closed beta?
Muninn is currently in closed beta. An administrator reviews each registration before approving access. Registration does not grant immediate access.
What is Muninn?
Muninn is a private journal for capturing moments, ideas, and patterns. It combines everyday writing with thoughtful ways to revisit your own story.
Can I use Muninn offline?
Yes. The product is designed for offline-first capture. Changes synchronize when a connection is available again.
Can Muninn read my journal?
Journal content is encrypted, but automatic account recovery allows Muninn to recover journal keys. This is not end-to-end encryption against the service. Optional AI features explain when content may be processed and require explicit consent for plaintext processing.
What happens if I lose my recovery information?
Accounts enrolled in automatic recovery unlock after email verification, even on a new browser. Older accounts need an unlocked browser or their original key for a one-time upgrade. Unenrolled keys cannot be recreated if all copies are lost.
How do I get help?
Send a message through the contact page and include enough context for us to understand the issue. Never send your journal content or passwords.
